About VRExtasy

Virtual reality, augmented reality and 360 video, with attitude.

VRExtasy started in 2015, back when a phone strapped to your face with cardboard counted as a headset. Since then we have covered the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, Gear VR, Google Cardboard, Microsoft HoloLens, 360-degree video on YouTube and Facebook, heads-up displays for cars and planes, and the grown-up corner of VR entertainment. 76 articles and counting.

What we cover

Who writes it

How we work

We read the spec sheets, the patents and the press releases so you do not have to, then we tell you what actually matters. Articles may draw on multiple public sources which are linked under "Further reading". When a product is bad, we say so. When a 360 video is silly, we say that too, usually while recommending it.

Adult content notice

Our Adult Entertainment category covers the suggestive side of virtual reality: dating apps, pole-dance 360 videos, that sort of thing. Nothing on VRExtasy is explicit, and that category is clearly labelled 18+.
